Composer calls for scores: Cabrillo Festival, Eugene Symphony, New England Philharmonic

The deadline is March 1 for composers age 30 or younger to submit scores for consideration to the 2016 Cabrillo Composers Workshop from July 30 to August 3 in Santa Cruz, California. Three composers will be selected to have their work rehearsed and performed during the festival. High school students should apply by March 15, 2016 to be considered for the Eugene Symphony’s new year-long project for high school composers from Oregon. Five selected students will co-create a work based on the “Ode to Joy “from Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, to be presented at the orchestra’s November 17, 2016 concert.
