Documentary about Cleveland Orchestra’s “Cunning Little Vixen” production broadcast on Sept. 8

Opera Reimagined: Animating the Cunning Little Vixen, a 30-minute behind-the-scenes documentary about the Cleveland Orchestra’s 2014 performance of Janáček’s opera The Cunning Little Vixen, will be broadcast on September 8 at 9 p.m. ET in Northeast Ohio on Cleveland’s WVIZ/PBS ideastream station. Music Director Franz Welser-Möst conducted the fully staged work, and director Yuval Sharon incorporated digital animation throughout Severance Hall. Throughout September, additional stations regionally and nationally will also air the program. On Sept. 23, 24, and 26, 2017 the Cleveland Orchestra will perform the opera again at Severance Hall, and will present it on tour in October at Vienna’s Musikverein.
