Free lecture at Kimmel Center by Philadelphia Orchestra’s Joseph Conyers

Joseph Conyers, assistant principal bass of the Philadelphia Orchestra, will give a free lecture, “The Future of Music and Music Education,” at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia on Wednesday, July 25 at 5:30 p.m. Conyers is also music director of the School District of Philadelphia’s All City Orchestra and executive director of Project 440, a Philadelphia nonprofit that trains young musicians to serve their communities through classical music and provides industry-specific mentoring and training programs for young musicians. The lecture will feature performances by Philadelphia Orchestra musicians and testimonials by Project 440 students. For more information and to RSVP visit project440.org.
