Sir Roger Norrington will lead the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s January 30 and 31 all-Mozart concerts at Music Hall in Cincinnati. The programs will be an all-Mozart celebration led by Sir Roger Norrington. Norrington, the early-music specialist who is currently chief conductor of the Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart, will conduct the CSO in the Masonic Funeral Music (K. 477/479a), Horn Concerto No. 4 (featuring CSO Principal French Horn Elizabeth Freimuth), and Symphony Nos. 33 and 36. On January 29 at Music Hall’s Corbett Tower, Norrington will participate in a conversation with Evans Mirageas, Cincinnati Opera’s artistic director, about The Marriage of Figaro as well as famous Mozart recordings.
