Barlament_Feb09.pngThe Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of JENNIFER BARLAMENT as executive director, effective April 15. She succeeds Stacy Ridenour, who left the KSO last October to become executive director of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. Barlament has served as general manager of the Omaha Symphony since 2002. Previous posts include concert manager of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and, before that, director of special projects at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. A 1999 alumna of the Orchestra Management Fellowship Program of the League of American Orchestras, Barlament earned a bachelor’s degree in music with a minor in physics from Emory University, where she was the recipient of prizes in both music and academic performance.
