The Colorado Symphony Orchestra and EarShot are seeking works by emerging composers for the next round of EarShot’s new-music readings, scheduled to take place at Denver’s Boettcher Concert Hall on July 16 and 17, 2009. The due date for score submissions is May 18. The readings will provide up to four composers the opportunity to work with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and to become more visible in the orchestral-music field. The July 17 new-music reading will be free and open to the public. EarShot—a nationwide network of new-music readings and related composer-development programs—is a partnership between the American Composers Orchestra, American Composers Forum, American Music Center, the League of American Orchestras, and Meet The Composer.
