The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of NAIMAH BILAL as artistic administrator. She recently completed a year of training in the Orchestra Management Fellowship Program of the League of American Orchestras, where she worked with orchestra professionals and undertook a variety of tasks at Aspen Music Festival and School, the New York Philharmonic, the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Bilal had previously served as an intern at The Cleveland Orchestra and as office manager and executive assistant at the Cleveland International Piano Competition. A native of Fort Washington, Md., and a former National Symphony Orchestra youth fellow, she holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in viola performance from Indiana University and the Cleveland Institute of Music, respectively. Bilal has performed with the Virginia and Toledo symphony orchestras and has managed a private violin and viola studio.
