A report Friday (8/7) on the music tech website MacMusic states, “Sample Logic unveils its latest product: Morphestra – Cinematic Orchestra. Developed in association with Kirk Hunter Studios, Morphestra is a powerful collection of new and inventive organic ensembles derived entirely from true orchestral recordings and psycho-acoustic sound design. Powered by Native Instruments Kontakt Player 3, Morphestra is a collection of over 23 GB and 1100+ instruments and multis. Rather than reinventing the traditional orchestra, Sample Logic says it has created a modern day virtual instrument that ‘goes above and beyond ANY orchestral/effectual sample library geared for film, TV and game composers.’ … Morphestra’s scripted sound-sculpting interface gives users control through Native Instruments Kontakt Player 3. With 5 full tabs of more than 40 on-screen effects and performance parameters, morphing and sculpting is easy. Sample Logic has collaborated with many of the world’s leading composers to provide a massive variety of multis created by composers, for composers.”
