In Thursday’s (8/20) Times-Picayune (New Orleans), Patricia Livingston writes, “Jeanne Bruno wrote recently to announce that the Encore Shop, 7814 Maple St., is having an end-of-season blowout sale of summer merchandise, with savings from 50 percent to 75 percent. And that’s on top of already reasonable prices for name-brand and designer clothes and accessories. The shop is owned and operated by the Symphony Volunteers Inc., with all proceeds benefiting the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. So, not only can you find great buys on great clothes, you’re helping support one of our region’s cultural icons—a true win-win situation. I haven’t been by there in several months, but I remember seeing a St. John jacket for under $100. That’s a steal.”
