NANCYBELL COE, president of Music Academy of the West (Santa Barbara) and a board member of California’s Ojai Music Festival, has been elected to a one-year term as president of the Association of California Symphony Orchestras, effective October 1. She is currently treasurer of the ACSO board. Coe’s lengthy career in classical music administration has included senior-level management positions with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Aspen Music Festival and School, and The Cleveland Orchestra. A graduate of Wellesley College, she began her career as a staff member at the Spokane Symphony Orchestra from 1978 to 1985.
