California’s Santa Rosa Symphony Orchestra has appointed KATEY PEARSON director of education. She recently spent ten years at Northrop Grumman Corporation, with responsibilities in communications, community outreach, diversity, and human resources. Prior to Grumman she held various posts with the American Youth Symphony, Disney Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, and Young Musicians Foundation (all in the Los Angeles area), as well as with the San Diego Symphony. Pearson has also worked as a freelance violist and teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Pepperdine University and has completed graduate work in viola performance.
