The Collegiate Chorale in New York City has appointed JAMES BAGWELL music director. Active throughout the U.S. as a choral, operatic, and orchestral conductor, he is currently director of the Music Program at Bard College. Bagwell has served as director of choruses at Bard Music Festival since 2003, and for the past eleven seasons has been music director of the May Festival Youth Choir in Cincinnati. He was also recently named principal guest conductor of the American Symphony Orchestra in New York City. Bagwell holds degrees from Birmingham-Southern College, Florida State University, and Indiana University.
