JANE MORRIS, communications officer for the National Arts Centre Orchestra (Ottawa, Ontario), has announced her intention to retire from that post at the end of October. She has served on the National Arts Centre staff for 32 years, beginning her tenure in the Dance and Variety Department and then moving to her current post in the 1990s. Succeeding her as communications officer for the NAC Orchestra is GERALD MORRIS (no relation to Jane Morris), who previously served as communications officer for the center’s Dance Department. Also announced by the National Arts Centre was the appointment of journalist ROSEMARY THOMPSON as director of communications and public affairs, effective November 2. Thompson is currently deputy bureau chief for CTV News.
