The Boston Landmarks Orchestra has announced its only winter performance of the 2009-10 season, a free concert that will take place at Sanders Theatre at Harvard University on January 29. Charles Ansbacher, founder and artistic director of the eight-year-old ensemble, will lead an all-Beethoven program consisting of the third symphony and third piano concerto, with André-Michel Schub as soloist. The concert is sponsored by Harvard University Extension School. The Boston Landmarks Orchestra is primarily known for its outdoor summer concert series, “Landmarks Festival at the Shell,” performed at the Hatch Shell on Boston’s Charles River. The orchestra also presents free concerts in significant historical, geographical, and architectural settings throughout the greater Boston area, with the goal of fostering an appreciation of classical music in diverse communities.
