Administrative: Omaha Symphony

The Omaha Symphony has announced the appointment of ANGELA CASSETTE as general manager, effective November 9. She had been serving as interim general manager since last April, having initially joined the orchestra in July 2008 as operations manager. Trained as a violinist, Cassette graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University and subsequently pursued graduate studies at Arizona State University. While at ASU she served as a teaching assistant and a facilitator for the university’s Visiting String Quartet Residency Program. Cassette was chamber music coordinator at Rocky Mountain Conservatory from 2002 to 2005, and has served as assistant to Artistic Director Charles Wadsworth at Spoleto Festival USA and Colombia’s Cartagena Music Festival.
