In Wednesday’s (11/18) New York Times dining calendar, Florence Fabricant writes, “The New York Philharmonic will hold post-concert dinners next year, with chefs cooking and commentary by Mimi Sheraton. Each dinner, in one of the lobby restaurants at Avery Fisher Hall, will accommodate 90 guests. The chefs will be Alain Ducasse (Jan. 8), Jean-Georges Vongerichten (Feb. 12), Lidia Bastianich (April 16) and Daniel Boulud (June 4). Each dinner is $150 including wine, tax and tip.” According to the orchestra, diners and the celebrity chefs will be joined by “guest artists of the evening’s concerts; Philharmonic President and Executive Director Zarin Mehta; Philharmonic musicians; and Music Director Alan Gilbert (at the dinners that follow his concerts).”
