The American Composers Orchestra has announced the appointment of arts management consultant CINDI HUBBARD as manager of EarShot, a collaborative effort of the ACO, the League of American Orchestras, Meet The Composer, the American Composers Forum, and the American Music Center. EarShot provides counseling, production, and administrative support for orchestras to undertake readings, residencies, performances, and composer-development programs. Hubbard is managing principal of Cindi Hubbard & Associates, and also serves as manager of the League of American Orchestras’ American Conducting Fellows Program. An experienced orchestra administrator, she has worked as executive director of The Women’s Philharmonic (San Francisco), as artistic administrator of the Indianapolis and National symphony orchestras, and as executive assistant to the general manager of the San Francisco Symphony. She holds a master’s degree in music education from Teachers College-Columbia University and a bachelor’s in music education from New Jersey’s Montclair State University.
