The Nashville Symphony has announced that MARY KATHRYN VAN OSDALE, concertmaster for the last twenty years, will retire from that post at the conclusion of the 2009-10 season. At that time she will assume the title of concertmaster emerita. VanOsdale will continue as a member of the orchestra’s first violin section. Nashville Symphony President and CEO Alan D. Valentine stated that a search for a new concertmaster will begin immediately.
