The Greater Akron Musical Association, parent organization for the Akron Symphony Orchestra, has named RENEE ANTHONY DEE director of artistic planning for the Akron Symphony, effective January 1, 2010. She is the orchestra’s second bassoonist and holder of its Mary Kay and Ernie Pouttu Chair, as well as a longstanding member of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and Canton (Ohio) Symphony Orchestra.
