“Inspired by Louise Nippert’s extraordinary gift last week, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra received a $150,000 challenge grant,” reports an unsigned piece in Tuesday’s (12/22) Kentucky Post. “The grant was given by the Fifth Third Bank and Narley L. Haley, trustees of the B.B., E.W. and F.R. Luther Charitable Foundation. Last week Nippert set up the Louise Dieterle Nippert Musical Arts Fund which donated $85 million to the arts in Cincinnati.” CSO President Trey Devey says of the grant, “The CSO needs a broad base of support from the community in order to meet our 2010 financial needs. The Luther Charitable Foundation’s challenge grant comes at a great time with a dollar for dollar match.”
