The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has promoted YU-LING CHENG to vice-president for audience development and sales. A member of the PSO staff since 2004, Cheng has held various responsibilities including single-ticket marketing, subscription sales, subscriber retention efforts, and marketing research. In addition to her work with the PSO she serves as adjunct professor of marketing at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz School of Public Policy and Management. She holds an MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a graduate degree in violin performance from New England Conservatory, and degrees in economics and music from the University of Washington. Cheng is a 2004 alumna of the League of American Orchestras’ Orchestra Management Fellowship Program.
