The Cleveland Orchestra has announced the appointment of ROSS BINNIE as chief marketing officer, effective February 8. He goes to Cleveland from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, where he has served as vice president for sales and services since 2003. Prior to joining the DSO in 1999 as director of ticket services, Binnie held positions with the Dallas Museum of Art; Select Ticketing Systems in St. Albans, England; and Hackney Empire Theater in London. A native of the U.K., he received his MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
