The Hartford Symphony Orchestra has appointed MATTHEW AUBIN education programs conductor; he made his debut in that role leading the HSO’s Symphony in the Schools Chamber Music Programs during the last week of January. Aubin is affiliated with the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, where he serves as conductor of the Hartt Symphony Band, associate conductor of the Hartt Contemporary Players Ensemble, and adjunct professor of conducting and music education. Prior to joining the Hartt faculty he was director of instrumental music at the Norwich (Conn.) Free Academy.
