The Charlotte (N.C.) Symphony has appointed TANYA DAVIS director of artistic planning. She served most recently as manager of artistic administration at the Nashville Symphony, a post to which she was named in August 2008 after serving as the orchestra’s artistic and education coordinator, and, before that, as its human resources, executive and finance administrative assistant. Davis is an alumna of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., where she concentrated in Music Industry and received a Bachelor Music degree in 2005.
