New York City’s InterSchool Orchestras of New York has announced the appointment of JEFFREY D. GROGAN as music director of the ISO organization and conductor of the ISO Symphony, effective July 1, 2010. He is currently education and community engagement conductor at the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and was a participant in the 2009 Bruno Walter National Conductor Preview administered by the League of American Orchestras. Grogan has served as director of orchestras at Ithaca College and has taught at the University of Michigan, Baylor University, and in public school systems in Texas. He holds degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University (Nacogdoches, Tex.) and the University of Michigan.
