Pennsylvania’s Reading Symphony Orchestra has announced that CHARLES WEISER will retire as executive director on August 31, 2010, following eleven years in that post. Weiser joined the orchestra as a musician in 1969, simultaneously beginning a career in the Boyertown (Pa.) schools, where he taught for three decades prior to his appointment as the RSO’s executive director, including many years as the school system’s supervisor of music.
