The Chicago Symphony Orchestra has launched its redesigned website, a project in the works for the past year. Along with a new look, the redesigned site www.cso.org —developed by the Chicago-based digital agency Oncall Interactive with design provided by IA Collaborative—includes a new “listen and watch” area with digital downloads and streaming media. Other new elements include a 3D seat-selector tool during ticket purchasing, a patron-support area, and a “concierge” that helps concertgoers to share itineraries and concert plans with friends or fellow concertgoers. With the orchestra’s physical store on Michigan Avenue now closed, the website has upgraded its online store’s fulfillment and inventory tracking system for all recordings and CSO-branded products.
