Sutherland has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the San Diego Symphony, and the Riverside (Calif.) Philharmonic, and is a founding member of Presidio Brass, for which he plays both tuba and piano and serves as the ensemble’s primary arranger. Along with his post at the Redlands Symphony he will serve as artist-teacher at the University of Redlands School of Music, teaching tuba and euphonium and performing with the faculty brass quintet.
