The Williamsburg (Va.) Symphonia has announced that JANNA HYMES has extended her contract as music director and conductor through the 2012-13 season. Now in her sixth season with the Williamsburg Symphonia, Hymes has served as associate conductor of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra; assistant conductor of the Canton (Ohio) Symphony Orchestra and the Teatro Massimo Opera in Palermo, Italy; resident conductor of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra; and music director of the Columbus Women’s Orchestra, the Cincinnati Composers’ Guild Orchestra, and I Solisti Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra.
