The Aspen Music Festival and School in Colorado has announced replacement conductors its 2010 season, which runs from July 1 to August 22. For those concerts originally scheduled to be led by David Zinman—who announced his departure as music director in April—the replacement conductors are Ludovic Morlot (July 2); Dallas Symphony Orchestra Music Director Jaap van Zweden (July 11); Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Music Director Manfred Honeck (July 16); New England Conservatory of Music Director of Orchestras Hugh Wolff (August 13); Larry Rachleff, Music Director of Rice University’s Shepherd School Orchestras (August 20); and Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Music Director Marin Alsop (August 22). Programs on July 2, 11, and August 20 are expected to have no significant changes, while the remaining concerts will have some changes either to repertoire or soloists.
