Maryland’s Annapolis Symphony Orchestra has appointed NETANEL DRAIBLATE concertmaster. He has performed as concertmaster and associate concertmaster of the Lancaster (Pa.) Symphony Orchestra, and has also held principal posts with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, World Youth Orchestra, Thelma Yellin Symphony Orchestra, Israel Young Philharmonic, Chicago College of Performing Arts Symphony, Peabody Symphony Orchestra, and University of Maryland Symphony Orchestra. Draiblate has performed as violin soloist with numerous orchestras including the American Symphony Orchestra, Bergen (N.J.) Philharmonic, Israel Chamber Orchestra and University of Maryland Symphony, and he accompanied the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra on its 2010 tour to China. His awards include prizes in the Jerusalem Academy Solo Competition (1998), the Ben-Haim Competition (1995), Peabody Conservatory’s Yale Gordon Competition (2006), and Peabody’s Grace Clagett Ranney Prize (2008).
