EDUARDO MARTURET has signed a five-year contract extending his tenure as music director and conductor of the Miami Symphony Orchestra through July 31, 2017. A native of Caracas educated in Cambridge, England, Marturet has led the Miami Symphony Orchestra since 2006. Prior to the Miami Symphony he served as associate conductor of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Caracas and subsequently as artistic director of the Orquesta Filarmónica Venezuela.
