TIMOTHY MUFFITT, now completing his fourth season as music director and conductor of the Lansing (Mich.) Symphony Orchestra, has renewed his contract with that orchestra through the 2012-13 season. Muffitt is also music director and conductor of the Baton Rouge (La.) Symphony and music director of the Music School Festival Orchestra at Chautauqua Institution in western New York State.
