The New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy (Miami Beach, Fla.), has announced the appointment of MICHAEL FRISCO as director of marketing. He served most recently as director of marketing and communications at the Elgin (Ill.) Symphony Orchestra. Frisco is an alumnus of the League of American Orchestras’ Essentials of Orchestra Management seminar and a current participant in the League’s Executive Leadership Program for Development and Marketing Professionals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in applied music/trombone performance from the Eastman School of Music and a master’s from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
