The Lansing (Mich.) Symphony Orchestra has announced two staff  promotions: KAREN CUTSHAW to director of finance and operations, and CATHERINE GUARINO to director of education and community engagement. Cutshaw has been with the LSO for three years, first as bookkeeper and recently as director of development and finance. She holds a general associate degree with a concentration in business from Lansing Community College, and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting information management. Guarino is also a three-year veteran at the LSO, where she began as box office and development manager and subsequently worked as director of communications and ticket sales. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.
