MARKAND THAKAR, music director of Minnesota’s Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra since 2000, will step down from that post at the end of the 2012-13 season. He will conduct ten concerts at the DSSO in 2010-11 season and selected concerts in the following two seasons, which will also include guest engagements by music director candidates. A search committee will begin the process of identifying his successor later this summer.
