The Orlando (Fla.) Philharmonic Orchestra has announced the election of CANDICE J. CRAWFORD as board president, effective July 1, 2010. A member of the orchestra’s board since 2005, Crawford is president of the consulting, management, and political firm CJCrawford LLC. From 2003 to 2005 she was assistant secretary of the State of Florida. Prior positions include clerk, City of Orlando; deputy secretary, Florida Department of Highway Safety; and deputy insurance commissioner and fire marshal, State of Florida.
