KELLY CORCORAN, the Nashville Symphony’s assistant conductor, has agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2011-12 season, her fourth with the orchestra. As part of the agreement, she will assume the new title of Associate Conductor. Before coming to Nashville, Corcoran served three seasons as assistant conductor of Ohio’s Canton Symphony Orchestra and music director of the Canton Youth Symphony and Cleveland-area Heights Chamber Orchestra. She is currently on the conductor faculty at Tennessee State University.
