In Sunday’s (8/8) Orlando Sentinel (Florida), Matthew J. Palm writes, “Michael J. Garasi has been named artistic director of the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra for the upcoming season. In addition, Garasi will take the helm of the symphony’s new Philharmonic-level group, an invitation-only orchestra of premiere players. Garasi is music director and principal conductor of Lake County’s professional orchestra, the Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra, as well as a visiting instructor at the University of Central Florida. He has worked with the Brass Band of Central Florida and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra.
