300,000 pounds and counting…

The League would like to thank all of the orchestras that participated in the 2010 Orchestras Feeding America national food drive. This year was another huge success! The last two years have seen more than 250 orchestras from all 50 states collect over 300,000 pounds of food making this the single largest orchestra project serving communities nationwide. We are so proud to have been a part of this effort, and hope your orchestra will join us for the Orchestras Feeding America 2011.

The League invites you to sign up for next year’s drive now and start planning early! While March is the official Orchestras Feeding America month, we encourage any orchestras conducting food drives over the summer or holiday season so participate and add to the 2011 national total.

Updated materials including a sample press release, hunger facts, flyer and poster designs, and most needed food items will be posted to the League’s website within the next couple months. If you have any questions about the 2011 Orchestras Feeding America food drive, please contact Margaret Jordan at fooddrive@americanorchestras.org or by phone at 646 822 4045.

Thank you and good luck with your next drive!
