In Wednesday (8/18) Southern Chester County Weeklies (Pennsylvania) Fran Maye reports, “Barbara Bullock has been named new executive director of the Kennett Symphony, replacing Ginna Goodall, who resigned last month. Bullock, who has worked for many arts organizations, including the Grand Opera House in Delaware and the Delaware Theatre Company, is right at home heading up the Kennett Symphony. She loves music and theatre, and minored in voice from Shenandoah University in Virginia, and even toured professionally. Bullock said her primary focus now is on fundraising and marketing, because the new season for the Kennett Symphony—its 70th—opens in a few weeks. … The new season opens Oct. 16 with Beethoven’s Ninth at West Chester University. The same performance will take place Oct. 17 at Lincoln University. The cast includes 70 in the orchestra, another dozen or so in the choir, and four soloists. The Kennett Symphony is the only professional symphony in Chester County. … Bullock was an account executive in Bank of America’s corporate marketing department and an Assistant Vice President at Wilmington Trust working in Wealth Advisory Services.”
