In Sunday’s (8/22) Cincinnati Enquirer, Janelle Gelfand writes, “The CSO Chamber Players has a new concert space. The chamber music series featuring musicians of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra will be presented this season in the Mayerson Theater of the new Erich Kunzel Center for Arts and Education at the School for Creative & Performing Arts. The CSO Chamber Players formerly played in Memorial Hall. The Chamber Players will inaugurate the new hall Nov. 12, with a Mozart and Haydn program. The four-concert season will include the world premiere of ‘Invisible Topography’ by Ellen Ruth Harrison (Jan. 28), dedicated to CSO bassist Matthew Zory. Other highlights include Messiaen’s ‘Quartet for the End of Time’ (Feb. 18) and Bartok’s String Quartet No. 1 (April 8). The Mayerson Theater seats 309.”
