In Thursday’s (8/26) Delaware News (Ohio), Rasha Aly writes, “The Central Ohio Symphony is preparing for its big move—and it needs volunteers. ‘We’ve been looking forward to this for a long time,’ said Warren Hyer, executive director of the symphony. On Saturday, Aug. 28, the symphony will move to its new offices at 24 E. Winter St. [in Delaware, Ohio]—three blocks from its current location at 70 S. Sandusky St. Hyer said he’d like everything moved by noon, so volunteers should show up by 9 a.m. A pickup truck or two will be needed to help move furniture, file cabinets and boxes, Hyer said. Tim Hortons has donated gift certificates for coffee and doughnuts to offer to volunteers. Symphony staff already have cleaned and prepared the new location for the move. … The symphony already is gearing up for its new season. Rehearsals begin soon and the first concert is in October, [Hyer] said. … Hyer said the move will make it easier to participate in more events with the community Downtown.”
