Houston Symphony Executive Director and CEO Mark C. Hanson has announced the appointment of RON FREDMAN as senior director, development, effective November 1. Fredman goes to Houston from the Kansas City Symphony, where he has served as director of development since 2007. He was previously senior vice president of the fundraising consulting firm Hartsook Companies Inc. Winner of numerous national and local awards from the Public Relations Society of America, the International Association of Business Communicators, the Ad Club, and the Business Marketing Association, Fredman was the 2005 president of the Kansas City PRSA Chapter and is accredited by that organization. He has performed with adult community musical groups as an amateur percussionist.
