PATRICK CASTILLO has been named director of artistic planning at The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, effective November 1, 2010. For the past eight years he has served as artistic administrator for California’s Music@Menlo festival. He is founding artistic director of the Pharos Music Project, a collective of composers and performers dedicated to the presentation of new vocal and chamber music, and led that organization from 2005 to 2008. An active composer whose works have been performed at venues throughout the U.S. and in Germany, Castillo holds degrees in music composition and sociology from Vassar College.
