The Charlottesville (Va.) Symphony Society has announced the appointment of LORIE A. HOOVER as director of development. She goes to Charlottesville from Virginia’s Lynchburg College, where she served as assistant director of the annual fund and subsequently as director of the annual fund and director of advancement services. Hoover is currently treasurer and vice president-elect of the Virginia Chapter of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement.
