The White House has recently launched a Tuesday Talks series, in which people from around the country to are invited to engage with policy experts, administration officials, and others on a host of topics. As part of its Tuesday Talks series and in celebration of National Arts and Humanities Month, the White House will hold a live chat with leaders from the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities. Participants in today’s chat will include: Chuck Close, visual artist and committee member; Margo Lion, theater producer and committee co-chair; George Stevens, Jr., producer and committee co-chair; and Damian Woetzel, ballet dancer and committee member. Questions may be submitted via the White House Facebook page, and the public is invited to watch the chat live at 2:15 p.m. EDT or view the archive afterward.
The arts conversation will be preceded at 1:30 by a conversation with Austan Goolsbee, chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, on the topic of the economy.
