Monday’s (10/25) Palladium-Item (Richmond, Indiana) reports, “Morrisson-Reeves Library and the Richmond Symphony Orchestra are collaborating to offer local fifth-graders a program celebrating the works of the orchestra, Richmond author Connie Wooldridge and Cincinnati, Ohio, illustrator Will Hillenbrand. Wooldridge’s children’s book, ‘Wicked Jack,’ is the focus of a music event Tuesday at Civic Hall. Wooldridge, Hillenbrand and RSO Music Director Guy Bordo will team with the orchestra’s wind instrument quintet to provide all Wayne County fifth-graders an understanding of the magic of writing, illustrating and music. Later that day, students of all ages are invited to meet the author and illustrator at the library at 4 p.m. in the Bard Room. Students will learn about the writing and illustrating process and discuss questions and ideas they may have about writing and illustrating. Books will be available for purchase.”
