Midori’s Orchestra Residencies Program has announced that applications for the 2012-13 season are now available for download at the ORP website and are due by March 1, 2011. Two residencies are awarded each year for the program, a weeklong collaborative project in which youth orchestras and their affiliated professional symphony orchestra collaborate for Q&A sessions, meals, discussion groups, coaching sessions, and workshops. Any U.S. youth orchestra and its affiliated adult orchestra, with combined budget not exceeded $4.5 million, may submit an application for a residency with Midori. The orchestras must apply together. For more information on the program, contact Nathan Reiff, project director, at nathan.j.reiff@gmail.com or 646-619-1181.
