A report Wednesday (11/3) on Toledo, Ohio’s local ABC Channel 13 website states, “There’s a new man behind the baton at the Toledo Symphony. But he’s no stranger here. When resident conductor Chelsea Tipton left for a music director position in Texas, the Toledo Symphony had big shoes to fill. Now, Jeffrey Pollock is stepping into them. Pollock feels right at home at the piano. But he feels even more at home in front of an orchestra, and he’s starting to feel right at home here in Toledo. … Pollock was most recently with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Now, he’s the new resident conductor with the Toledo Symphony. Pollock is no stranger to the Toledo Symphony. He’s been a guest conductor here for several years. He says, ‘It’s a great orchestra. And I really like all of the variety of programs that they do. And I just felt there was a great chemistry between myself and the musicians. And you sort of just know when it fits and this seemed to fit.’ Pollock says he enjoys getting out into the community to getting to know the audience.”
